• Each entrant is marked and scored by one of our expert inspectors during their visit/stay. They work to a strict set of scoring rules and guidelines during each visit/stay so that each entrant no matter how big or small are judged exactly the same.





• We do not require the entrant to have to market and promote entry to our awards to all its clients and enter into a long drawn out process but we prefer to judge and score on a single pure guest experience as we feel that this is what most clients/guests will experience during an average patronage.





• Our inspector will spend great time and detail in order to inspect and experience all each entrant has to offer its guests. Notes, comments and recommendations will be recorded and available to each entrant on a confidential basis as part of our service and awards inspection.





• We experience, record, review and score all aspects of a guest/client experience. For hospitality establishments, once an overall score is calculated for your hotel /resort or restaurant this will then rank your establishment against others in your category and region as well as count towards our overall ranking list.





• Awards winners will be displayed on a special winners page on the official website - www.nigeriatourismawards.com so that the public can view, reference and visit.





• Official nominees will be notified in advance of the awards ceremony and can book a package to attend the awards gala ceremony.



RULES FOR ENTRY.





• You are encouraged to enter the category that best reflects your core business. You can enter more than one category; however, a separate and complete nomination and submission must be submitted for each category.

• Achievements or activities judged for your entry must fall within the qualifying period 1 March – 28 February

• An entrant, such as a chain or franchise that has multiple products, must enter each product individually if they want each business to be able to promote the achievement of winning a tourism award.

• An entry cannot be moved into another category after the closing date for submissions.

• If at any time after submission of an entry the business being put forward goes into administration, voluntary receivership, liquidation or bankruptcy, the entrant accepts that the submission will no longer be eligible for an award.

• The innovative aspects of the projects submitted will be taken into consideration.



ENTRY AND JUDGING





• Simply fill in the entry form and submit. Nomination fees for each category are indicated on the form. We will contact you back within 3 working days to confirm your entry.

• Once we receive your submission, we will contact you to confirm your entry and send you details of how our judge will inspect and score your establishment

• Once our judge has completed his scoring, you will have the option of requesting a full detailed written report based on our judge’s visit/stay and experience. This is a report that will cover every aspect of the stay and will include scores based on the experience and also comments on each, along with professional suggestions on how to improve and enhance both the guest experience and also recommendations on how to potentially increase revenue in your establishment

• All inspectors/judges reports will remain private and confidential and only shared with the individual establishment.

• The scores based on the visit/stay however will be used to give your establishment its overall score for the awards.



TERMS AND CONDITIONS.





• Complete the registration form online at https://www.nigeriatourismawards.com/nominate and submit.

• Send us 3 High Resolution Images of the establishment, via email to nominations@nigeriatourismawards.com as well as a short description best describing the facilities on offer. This should not exceed a max of 120 words.

• Nomination fee to be paid within 7 working days of entry

• Images and information that you send us will be used by us for any purpose, will not be subject to confidential treatment and may be disclosed by us without further consent from participants.

• Nigeria Tourism Awards have the right to disclose total scores for ranking purposes and also have the right to disclose category and sub-category scores for the purpose of ranking.

• The judges/ inspectors visit reports will remain private and confidential and will only be issued to each participating hotel. • Should there be any information changes on the side of the participating entrant, this should be emailed to nominations@nigeriatourismawards.com in order to update their profile. Should any information changes not be communicated with the Nigeria Tourism Awards we will not be held responsible for outdated information profiles

• Authorized company representatives who submit entries will be our main point of contact unless we are otherwise notified. • When an entrant re-registers from one year to another existing images and descriptions of the hotel will be used unless we receive the updated version within 7 days from entry date.

• Nomination fees can be paid by bank transfer, or cheque made payable to The Balearica Awards.

• Nomination invoice to be settled within the given timeframe.

• We will be entitled to delist any establishment that does not pay the registration fee in full as at when due.

• Each participating entrant to supply a complimentary experience for the inspector e.g hotels / resorts to provide a stay on a half-board basis (Breakfast & Dinner) for a maximum of 2 nights per category; Spa awards entry require a maximum of 2 x spa treatment vouchers to be supplied to the inspectors; airlines to provide a complimentary return ticket per category.

• The above-mentioned complimentary voucher/s should be outlined by letter, signed by management and emailed to nominations@nigeriatourismawards.com

Cancellation Policy

0% Refund once registration is received. Nomination fees are non-refundable. By entrant that do not accept and comply fully with the full terms and conditions of registration will be liable for the full registration fee. By submitting the registration form, the entrant agrees to officially participate in the Nigeria Tourism Awards (The Balearica Awards) for a period of 1 year
